Realta Events Management has been recognised in the Scottish Enterprise Awards 2023 as Shetland’s best bespoke event management company.
The Scottish Enterprise Awards 2023, organised by SME News, is a prestigious awards program that aims to recognise and honour the outstanding achievements of businesses operating in Scotland. This esteemed event shines a spotlight on the remarkable success stories, innovations, and contributions made by businesses across various industries in the vibrant Scottish business landscape.
These awards highlight businesses of all sizes and industries in Scotland. From small startups and local enterprises to established companies and multinational corporations, this awards program celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit that drives the Scottish business community.
Realta Events, led by Emma Miller undertook the Project Management role for the delivery of the Tall Ships Races event in Lerwick this past summer; the largest public event Shetland has seen in over a decade.
The hugely successful event put Shetland on an international stage, with 37 Tall Ships from 12 different countries in port and over 11,000 visitors per day attending event sites. The event was live streamed for the first time and reached over 17,500 unique viewers around the world.
In receiving the Scottish Enterprise Award, Emma said “It’s been such a busy and exciting year with so much hard work going into the delivery of the Tall Ships event, while still managing other existing contracts. Being recognised in these national awards is an honour and a welcome acknowledgement of the important services that my business provides on an ongoing basis for Shetland.”
